Camp Creative - Year 2008

Camp Creative - Year 2008

Mariet picked Sam and me up at the donut at 11:00am Sunday 13th Jan 2008 to go to Camp Creative at Bellingen. We stopped at Macksville on the way to have lunch. Then we went to Urunga Holiday Park where we were camping for the week. I slept in a tent called oztent with Sam. On the Monday we went to the Dorrigo Rainforest for a walk and picnic. On Tuesday we started our courses. I did a photography course to achieve one of my future goals. Mariet did belly dancing and Sam did African Drumming. I learned things like when to take a good photo and how to take it, how to use the aperture speed, shutter speed and ISO – like panning and portraits. It was fun because I was with people who wanted to learn the same things. Every day we met at Bellingen High School to have sandwiches for lunch. We went out every night for dinner. Some nights we watched performances at the High School. Sam and I were with Mariet’s family because Mariet was keeping an eye on us. The last night we went to a BIG performance and we didn’t get to bed until just after midnight. We arrived back at the Donut at 11:00am of Sunday 20th January. We really had a good time and I hope to go again to achieve more goals next year.
